| Yes! Seat belts do save lives. Mine!
Wednesday (26 March 2003) while
travelling to Wellington for seminars and just south of a small town
called Foxton, a 78 year old lady had a heart attack and died at the
wheel, running into me head on - both of us doing about 100km. |

This is one
stop I will never forget, nowhere to go and no time, lucky my seat
belt and bull bars plus heavy truck (4x4 Nissan Mistral), saved me -
truck is a write off, but I am alive, 3 days in Palmerston North
hospital but now home, bruises like you have never seen, can show in
full detail on my body the shape of the seat belts, and pain from 3
broken ribs...can’t lift or drive, and run out of energy fast.....
The hospital system did wonders, the ambulance and my friends who
found out fast were so great. Thanks for the emails and calls. |

So this
week I will be based at home office on phone and emails, clients will
have to visit me for a change...... no seminars - had to cancel them
for this week and will see what happens for coming weeks. I have
a kitten for company and wife who is looking after me..... plus my pa
looking after work things...
Thanks, and
make sure you wear a seatbelt, friends !

Hello Geewiz
I will never forget that number plate!
I have been forwarded your Geewiz Newsflash
and was relieved to here that you are back at home and recovering slowly.
I am a volunteer at the Foxton Fire Brigade
and responded to your accident, this was my first fatal accident. I
couldn't help feeling the relief when I saw that the innocent party was
alive and kicking. You forgot to mention in your e-mail the
windscreen, wow what a dent!!!!
Trust you'll be back in action soon,
also our pump operator/driver recognised you because he had been on one of
your courses, cool aye!!!
All the best and God bless.
